2017 Western Conference of Public Service Commissioners Annual Meeting.
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska is pleased to host the 2017 Western Conference of Public
Service Commissioners' Annual Meeting, May 21 - 24, 2017. This event provides an excellent
forum to share ideas on topics such as telecommunications, cyber security, gas storage and
pipeline safety, and clean energy.
The Western Conference is a regional association of the National Association of Regulatory Utility
Commissioners (NARUC). The objectives of the Western Conference are:

To contribute to the betterment of commission regulation through study and discussion;

To promote uniformity in the structure, terminology and coordination of regulation while
honoring the public interests within the charge of each state commission; and
·
To promote cooperation of the member commissions with each other, with the National
Association and its members and with the other regulatory agencies.
