Position:    UTILITY FINANCIAL ANALYST III
Salary: $4,825.00 - $5,343.00 MONTHLY

The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) is recruiting for an experienced financial analyst to be part of its Finance Section. The Finance Section performs analysis, audits, and examinations of rates for regulated utility companies and pipeline carriers. This position requires excellent reading and writing skills, the ability to make public presentations, and significant knowledge and experience with revenue requirements and/or cost of service for public utilities.

The RCA regulates public utilities and pipeline carriers within the state by certifying qualified providers of public utility and pipeline services, and ensuring that they provide safe and adequate services and facilities at just and reasonable rates, terms, and conditions. The RCA is located in the Phillips Tower South, 701 West Eighth Avenue, Suite 300, Anchorage.

Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience as a Utility Financial Analyst II with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.

OR
A Certified Public Accountant in good standing and two years or professional accounting experience in the preparation review of revenue requirement analysis or rate request filings.

OR
Six years of professional accounting experience including three years in the preparation or review of revenue requirement analysis or rate request filings .
