Interim and Permanent Rate Increase -
NOTICE OF UTILITY TARIFF FILING
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA gives notice that ALASKA POWER COMPANY
(APC) has filed tariff revision TA835-2, requesting an 18.16% across-the-board rate
increase on a permanent basis. However, APC states that implementing such an
increase all at once would likely cause rate shock to its customers. In the interim, APC
instead proposes to implement a 6% interim and refundable, across-the-board rate
increase, pending final resolution of TA835-2. In support of the proposed rate increase,
APC submitted a revenue requirement study developed using a 2012 test year, and
supporting testimony.
