ADVISORY SECTION MANAGER VACANCY

The RCA has a vacancy for an Advisory Section Manager (ASM)

The ASM administers the RCA advisory function and is responsible for the planning, budgeting, staffing and operation of the RCA advisory sections.  The ASM must be able to clearly articulate complex concepts through written and oral presentation and publicly defend work products.

Preferably candidate possesses knowledge of theory/practice of regulation in monopoly and partially competitive markets; general knowledge of utility and pipeline carrier regulatory accounting practices and procedures, revenue requirements and ratemaking principles, cost studies, and economics for public utility industry/pipeline carriers; general knowledge of federal and state policies, and the ability to identify and define regulatory issues.

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years managerial/supervisory experience, with 4 years supervising professionals with technical expertise, preferably within a regulatory agency or working within a regulatory or judicial or quasi-judicial environment.  A master’s degree, JD, PE or CPA may substitute for 2 of the 6 years managerial experience.

This position is an exempt position with the State of Alaska. Salary range $7,215/mo. DOE.
