August is National Water Quality Month.

This is a time to reflect on the importance of having clean water, especially during the time of the year when so many are enjoying recreational activities in rivers, lakes, and oceans in Alaska and across the country. Take time to consider your water usage and what you might do differently. There are many ways Alaskans can get involved, whether it’s clearing invasive plants from a local park or helping to clean up trash around a river bank, look into what you can do to help. If you can’t find a project, start your own.
