Rate increase -
NOTICE OF UTILITY TARIFF FILINGS
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that ANCHORAGE
WATER AND WASTEWATER UTILITY (AWWU) has filed two tariff revisions for its water
and wastewater utilities (TA148-122 and TA147-126, respectively).
In TA148-122, AWWU requests permission to implement an across-the-board rate
increase to all residential and commercial customers of 4.0% over the currently effective
recurring rates for water service. For example, under the proposed rate increase, the
monthly usage charge for unmetered residential water service will increase from $35.74
to $37.17, while the applicable monthly customer charge for the same service will also
increase from $12.86 to $13.37.
In TA147-126, AWWU requests permission to implement an across-the-board rate
increase to all residential and commercial customers of 5.5% over the currently effective
recurring rates for wastewater (sewer) service. By way of example, under the proposed
rate increase, the monthly usage charge for unmetered residential sewer service will
increase from $31.57 to $33.31, while the applicable monthly customer charge for the
same service will also increase from $7.46 to $7.87.
