Revised Timeline of filing and Name Change for COPA -
Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Golden
Valley Electric Association, Inc. (GVEA) filed tariff revision TA261-13 seeking to revise its
Cost of Power Adjustment (COPA) clause. Specific revisions include renaming the
adjustment clause from Cost of Power Adjustment to Fuel and Purchased Power
Adjustment, relocating language to a new tariff sheet, and revising the filing schedule for
the COPA from 45 days after each quarter year to two months after the end of the
quarter (i.e. by the end of February for the quarter ending December 31). Renaming the
adjustment clause will not result in a change to the formula by which GVEA calculates its
COPA.
