Certification of Ballot Counting Results U-16-072 Homer Electric Association:
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) Certifies Ballot Counting Results for Homer Electric
Association (HEA) Deregulation Election.
The RCA has certified the ballot counting results of the HEA deregulation election in Docket U-16-072.
Of the 6,896 ballots counted, 4,854 members voted “No” and 2,042 members voted “Yes”.
Accordingly, the cooperative members elected not to exempt HEA from regulation. The election
not to exempt HEA from regulation is not final until the 10-day period for requesting a ballot recount
