Transitional Intrastate Access Service rates -
NOTICE OF UTILITY TARIFF FILINGS
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that the local
exchange telephone companies ACS OF THE NORTHLAND, INC., ACS OF FAIRBANKS,
INC., ACS OF ALASKA, INC., and ACS OF ANCHORAGE, INC., (collectively “ACS”), have
filed tariff revisions TA163-359, TA124-117, TA184-251, and TA529-120 respectively
(collectively “tariff revisions”). The FCC's USF/ICC Transformational Order, issued
October 27, 2011, adopted rules at 47 CFR § 51.909(c) which require price cap carriers
to adjust Transitional Intrastate Access Service (TIAS) rates to be equivalent in rate and
structure to interstate rates. Therefore, the filings adopt the rate structure and rates for
TIAS as specified in Tariff F.C.C. No. 1 (ACS Companies’ Tariff) for all elements of
Transitional Intrastate Access Service. 47 CFR § 51.909(c), requires revised rates take
effect July 1, 2013.
