Under the direction of the Consumer Protection Section Chief, the Consumer Protection & Information
Officer I
position will investigate informal complaints filed by consumers and the general public regarding services,
rates,
charges, billing disputes, and management practices of public utility companies. This position
also provides
information and consumer education concerning utility tariff filings, status of proceedings before the
commission,
the effects of commission decisions in those proceedings, and commission statutes and regulations.
