NOTICE OF UTILITY PETITION

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Copper Valley Wireless, Inc. (CVWI) and Copper Valley Wireless, LLC (CVWLLC), jointly filed a petition to transfer the Eligible Telecommunications Carrier (ETC) designation currently held by CVWI to CVWLLLC, on March 19, 2013.  The requested transfer is pursuant to the recent conversion of CVWI from an Alaska corporation to an Alaska limited liability company. Carriers designated as ETCs are eligible to receive universal service funding intended to be used to provision, maintain, and upgrade qualifying services and facilities, and to provide reduced rates and benefits for low-income consumers under the Lifeline and Link Up programs. Docket U-13-014 was opened to address this matter.
