UTILITY SCAM ALERT.
The Consumer Protection & Information (CP) section of the Regulatory Commission of Alaska
(RCA) have received information that consumers are receiving scam calls stating their power
will be disconnected if they do not pay a large amount of money.
Utilities may not shut off a consumer’s power or any type of service, without proper notice. CP
encourages anyone receiving such calls to hang up and call the utility directly, using the number
on their bill. The RCA can be contacted at (907)276-6222. You may also file a report using the
