Notice of Utility Special Contract Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Alaska Power
Company (APC), has filed tariff revision TA838-2, requesting Commission approval of a
proposed Power Sales Agreement (Agreement) with Young’s Fuel Logs and Pellets, LLC
(YFLP) for the sale of interruptible excess power to YFLP. The Agreement will expire seven
years from the date the Agreement is approved by the Commission.
Under the Agreement, APC will provide interruptible power to YFLP, which may vary in
quantity from year to year depending upon the amount of excess energy available. The
interruptible rate is $0.04 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) plus a $250 per month customer charge.
The Agreement rates only apply to new energy demand metered separately from
existing operations.
