RCA is recruiting for a Utility Financial Analyst (UFA) III. This is a full performance,
advanced level, professional position.
RCA UFAs analyze a variety of data and provide expert advice to Commissioners who
regulate Alaska’s oil and gas pipelines- including the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS),
and natural gas, electric, water, wastewater, and refuse utilities. The UFA III develops broad
expertise in industries which impact Alaska’s economy and as such, play a critical role in the
Alaskan regulatory environment.
The UFA III must be highly motivated because much of the required analysis is performed
independently, within strict timelines. Most communication is written, so strong writing
skills are required. The UFA III also provides recommendations verbally and therefore must
be able to communicate effectively and be able to respond to inquiry.
