G&T Loss Factor -
Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that CHUGACH
ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION, INC. (Chugach) has filed a tariff revision designated as TA387-8,
proposing the annual update to its generation and transmission (G&T) line loss factor
based on operating results for the year ending December 2013. The updated G&T line
loss factor is used for the allocation of system costs in calculating the fuel surcharge,
revenue requirement, and for other related regulatory proceedings. The updated G&T
line loss factor is 2.486 percent. By means of comparison, at generation previous line loss
factors were 2.870 percent and 2.985 percent based on 2012 and 2011 operating results,
respectively.
