The Regulatory Commission of Alaska's Consumer Protection & Information Section is pleased to provide Alaskans with a copy of the consumer guide on natural disasters and utilities released by the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC). 

The guide -- Consumers and Catastrophes: Understanding the Impact to You, Your Family, and Your Utilities -- was prepared by NARUC's Committee on Consumer Affairs and the Public Interest.  It features checklists for preparing before a disaster, safe action to take during a disaster, and what to do after a disaster strikes.
