Notice of Pipeline Application to Relinquish Certificate
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA gives notice that Polar LNG, LLC
(Polar) has filed an application to relinquish Certificate of Public Convenience and
Necessity (Certificate) No. 744 for natural gas pipeline transmission service at Prudhoe
Bay, Alaska. Polar is a privately held limited liability company, wholly owned by Pentex
Alaska Natural Gas Company, LLC, and was created to develop a Liquefied Natural Gas
(LNG) plant on the Alaska North Slope. The project for which the pipeline was required
has been cancelled and the proposed pipeline was not constructed. Docket P-15-009
was opened to address this matter.
