The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) welcomes the new FERC Chairman Willie L. Phillip’s, Jr. as he visits Alaska.

Today, August 27, 2024, the Regulatory Commission of Alaska extended a warm welcome to Chairman Willie L. Phillips, Jr. on his first visit to our state. Topics discussed with the RCA ranged from the Hydro-Power Authorization Program, Reliability Issues, and Industry Partners. Mr. Phillips assumed the role of Chair at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on February 9, 2024. FERC, an independent agency, oversees the interstate transmission of natural gas, oil, electricity, and other energy projects. FERC also oversees hydropower projects and reviews proposals for liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals.
