Notice of Utility Petition

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that the Municipality of Anchorage d/b/a Municipal Light and Power (ML&P) filed a petition for approval of a limited, one-time use of funds from its Deferred Regulatory Liability from Gas Sales (DRLGS) account and to modify the methodology for determining ML&P’s gas transfer price, on January 27, 2014. The petition relates to an Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) ML&P incurred in association with the future abandonment of the Beluga River Unit natural gas field, which ML&P has a one third ownership interest in. Docket U-14-009 was opened to address this matter.
