The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) Consumer Protection &
Information Section (CP) offers the following information for possible
community resources to help with these energy bills. As the winter months
get colder, Alaskans often use more energy to keep their homes warm
which results in higher energy bills.

Alaska 2-1-1 is a one-stop resource for finding you help; you can

CP of the RCA encourages you to stay in contact with the utility company,
letting them know what is going on if you are behind on your energy bill.
Also, if you haven’t spoken to your utility regarding a Deferred Payment
Agreement, CP recommends that you reach out and inquire about the
program if you haven’t already.
