RCA Approves Gas Supply Agreement for ENSTAR.
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska approved a gas supply agreement with
Marathon Alaska Production, LLC, and the Alaska Pipeline Company, an affiliate
of ENSTAR Natural Gas Company (ENSTAR), filed in TA187-4 (APL-8 GSA).
On April 9, 2010, ENSTAR sought approval of APL-8 GSA to help the utility meet
its natural gas needs from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2012.
In response to public notice of the filing, comments were received supporting
approval of APL-8 GSA. Based on the record presented in this tariff proceeding,
the RCA found that the public is best served by approval of APL-8 GSA (Letter Order L1000186).
Commissioner Kate Giard wrote a concurring statement.
