RCA SEEKS COMMENTS ON ACS' $3 CONVENIENCE FEE
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) announces that beginning September 29,
2008, ACS customers will be charged a $3 “Convenience Fee” when paying monthly
utility bills with help from ACS customer service representatives.
On August 1, 2008, ACS filed TA142-359, introducing a convenience fee. According to
the proposal, the fee would apply when a customer’s transaction with a customer service
representative involves making a payment on an account. A copy of ACS’ proposal may
be downloaded from our website by entering “TA142-359” in the Find a Matter search
box.
Interested persons may comment on ACS' filing by submitting written comments to the
RCA either at 701 West Eighth Avenue, Suite 300, Anchorage, Alaska, 99501, or at
rca.mail@alaska.gov by September 22, 2008. Please reference TA142-359 and include
a statement that you have filed a copy of your comments to ACS at 600 Telephone
