It seems counter productive for any entity to be asking for a rate increase during these times - maybe the utility should be looking internally to cut expenses instead of asking for rate increase. As a senior on a fixed income, I haven’t noticed any revenue increases so any expense increases such as a rate increase will have an adverse effect on our lives. Additionally, this seems like a good way to encourage people to consider leaving Alaska for economic reasons. AWWU rates are amongst the highest in the US.  Just doesn’t make sense!
