Comment Period Open for AWWU's Proposed Rate Increases. 

The Regulatory Commission of Alaska has issued a public notice soliciting comments on the tariff advice (TA) filings by Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU) designated as TA168-122 and TA168-126. 

With TA168-122, AWWU requests an across-the-board permanent rate increase of 2.0 percent to all water customers.  With TA168-126, AWWU requests an across-the-board permanent rate increase of 8.0 percent to all wastewater customers. AWWU  requests  that  the  proposed  permanent  rates  take  effect  on  April 1, 2021.  Should the Commission determine to suspend TA168-122 and  TA168-126, AWWU has requested interim rates, subject to refund, equal to the filed proposed rates.
