Thanks to the RCA for considering this important matter and taking public comment. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, "In 2023, Alaska generated about one-fourth of its total electricity from renewable energy sources. The state has a non-binding goal to generate 50% of its electricity from renewable and alternative energy sources by 2025." (https://www.eia.gov/state/print.php?sid=AK) To meet our goals as a state we need to work together. Net metering is an important piece of the puzzle that increases the collaboration needed from small to large scale energy producers. Please increase the net metering cap to make renewable energy, such as PV solar, more affordable for homeowners.
