Public Notice for Alaska Universal Service Administrative Company

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that the Alaska Universal Service Administrative Company (AUSAC) filed TA26-998, seeking Commission approval of a revised 2018 Alaska Universal Service Fund (AUSF) surcharge factor that was previously approved with TA25-998. The revised surcharge factor includes Carrier of Last Resort (COLR) support for Matanuska Telephone Association, Inc. (MTA) and ACS of Alaska (ACS-AK) that was terminated by the Commission along with those carriers’ respective COLR status, effective August 1, 2017; a decision that is currently subject to judicial review and that was stayed by the Superior Court of Alaska subsequent to the approval of the 2018 AUSF surcharge factor filed in TA25-998. AUSAC is the entity selected by the Commission to administer the AUSF.
