I had to choose this month between making a car payment so that I can get to work, food, or paying my electric bill. My bill has gone up by over half due to this COPA adjustment. MEA is supposed to be owned by the people. Why do I pay for power I did not use last winter. Because the CFO at MEA is not skilled in budgeting properly. I am paying for services I did not use. I demand the COPA be removed from MEA bills (from $180 a month $295 because of COPA) and the CFO who obviously can not budget properly be removed from his position and replaced with someone more skilled that has the interest of its people/members at heart. People are having to sell their homes because of MEA. The regulatory commission needs to manage MEA better and step up to the plate and quite allowing this injustice. I demand better representation. I can understand a 10 or even 20% increase, but a 64% increase during the winter months is out of hand. The regulatory commission needs to do their job or Governor Walker needs to put into office better people that WILL do this job. This needs to stop....now!  Ever heard of trickle economics? It works by putting people into bankruptcy too. How is that going to help the state's economy....?
