Public Notice for ENSTAR Natural Gas Company

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that ENSTAR Natural Gas Company (ENSTAR) filed TA296-4, seeking Commission approval of an amendment to its Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement (GSA) between Alaska Pipeline Company (APLC) and Furie Operating, LLC (Furie). The Furie GSA was originally filed as TA282-4 and approved in Letter Order No. L1600193. APLC is the sister company of ENSTAR and owns the natural gas transmission pipeline that delivers gas to ENSTAR’s service area. Historically, the Commission has regulated ENSTAR and APLC as a single entity.  

Under the amended GSA, ENSTAR proposes to revise deadlines established in the original GSA. Specifically, the amended GSA extends the exercise date from April 1, 2018, to April 1, 2019, and extends the date by which Furie will achieve the conditions precedent set out in Section 13.3(b) of the original GSA from December 31, 2016, to July 31, 2018.
