Public Notice for Sand Point Generating LLC

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Sand Point Generating, LLC (SPG) filed TA248-230, as required by the Commission in Letter Order No. L1700111. Letter Order No. L1700111, issued to approve SPG’s most recent Cost of Power Adjustment (COPA) filing, required SPG to file its fuel handling charge as a separate tariff advice filing. The fuel handling charge allows SPG to recover fees imposed by an affiliate (Sand Point Services, LLC, or SPS) for costs of delivering fuel to SPG. The Commission notes that components included in the fuel handling charge differ from those included in fuel handling charges previously reviewed by the Commission. Additional information was included in TA248-230 to address the requirements set out in 3 AAC 52.507(a), which govern transactions between utilities and affiliated entities.
