KiloWatt-Hour (kWh) is a unit of measurement that represents volume of electricity
  • A 100-Watt light bulb on for 10 hours consumes one kWh
  • Ten 100-Watt light bulbs on for one hour consume one kWh
  • Ten 200-Watt light bulbs on for 30 minutes consume one kWh

The total kWh sold are reported annually (January-December) by the utilities in their Annual Operations report to the Commission and are shown for informational purposes. For example, the total kWh reported for the year 2001 are reported for the Commission's 2002 report.
