Commissioner Rokeberg is a lifelong Alaskan. He graduated from Anchorage High School (1961.) He served in the US Army Signal Corps and returned to Alaska where since 1967 he has been a small businessman. In 1971 he earned a degree from Willamette University (Political Science) in Salem, Oregon. Commissioner Rokeberg was for many years a successful Commercial Real Estate Broker specializing in leasing and development of major office buildings. He worked with a number of Fortune 500 companies, dozens of oil industry firms, numerous local and international businesses, and with state and federal agencies to provide his clients with solutions for their commercial real estate requirements.
In 1995 Commissioner Rokeberg was elected to the Alaska State House of Representatives where he served for six consecutive terms. During his service in the State Legislature he served as Chairman of the Rules, Judiciary, Labor & Commerce, and Oil & Gas Committees. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Council of State Governments (West) and the Energy Council.
From 2007 to 2010, he was Chairman of two State of Alaska Advisory Working Groups: the Alaska Railbelt Electric Grid Authority (REGA) and the Alaska Railbelt Regional Integrated Resource Planning Group (RIPA) administered by the Alaska Energy Authority.
Commissioner Rokeberg was appointed to service with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska by Governor Sean Parnell commencing on February 22, 2013
